DayZ

DayZ is a multiplayer survival video game made by Bohemia Interactive. It started as a mod for Arma 2 before becoming its own game. In DayZ, players find themselves in a fictional place called Chernarus, where a strange disease has turned people into aggressive "infected".

To survive, players have to search for food, water, weapons, and medicine while avoiding or fighting off the infected and other players. It's available on Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and it has even expanded to include a new location called Livonia.

FIXED

• Fixed a bug where the firearm became unusable when closing the bolt with an empty magazine loaded
• Fixed a bug which broke the placement of objects in the world

MODDING

• Added: 'DayZPhysics.EntityOverlapSingleBullet' to only check collision against a single entity
• Fixed: 'DayZPhysics.EntityOverlapBullet' would not work when the passed in entity was a skeleton (e.g. House)
• Fixed: Event 'EEOnHitByRemote' would not fire for firearm shots

DayZ Gameplay

In DayZ, the main goal is to survive in a world overrun by zombies. When you start the game, you're not very well-equipped, with just basic clothes and some essential items. You explore a big fictional place called Chernarus, searching houses and buildings for supplies like food and water to stay alive.

You can also find different types of clothing for extra storage and warmth, as well as weapons to defend yourself from zombies and other players. The game can throw challenges at you, like helicopter crashes or dangerous areas that can make you sick or even unconscious.

Player interaction is a big part of the game, with voice and text chat, gestures, and even the option to surrender. You also need to watch out for illnesses and injuries, which can be treated with the right supplies. DayZ also lets you grow crops, cook, craft, and even build your own base or use existing structures. Plus, there are vehicles to help you get around faster if you can find and maintain them. It's all about staying alive in a tough, zombie-filled world.
